It is just amazing how the Lord extends His grace upon men. The gathering in of the precious souls of the saints is a continuos motion. We must endeavor to meet the requirements of our Lord for the harvest.
The prophet Amos prophesied ” Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.” (Amos 9:13)
This speaks of the harvest of souls for the Kingdom that will continue even as the Word is planted, the motion will not cease, As soon as the ground is ready, the seed (the Word of God) is sown, as soon as the seed has become full grown the angels which are the reapers, shall come for the precious fruit, As soon as the harvest is gathered, a new one is even now spring up into life, The sower sows the seed, God increases it on a supernatural level so that it grows quite rapidly. As it’s growing it matures immediately and the harvest is taken in. The plowman which means (to cut in quietly) shall begin the process anew for another harvest even whilst the harvest is in process. The reaper- (to cut off/short and bring in). The reaper and plow man are not human beings, this is all spiritual. In short, you will plant and the fruit of the seed will appear right away, by the time you consider the fruit of the seed, there is a harvest, by the time you consider the harvest you will turn right around and plant again.
There is not a problem with the harvest nor the seed, the problem is, getting the workers into the fields to work. As we minister we know not who will receive nor do we know how fast they will grow. Paul the apostle declares ” Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.1 Corinthians 3:5-7
The last part of the scripture in Amos 9:13 is a repeat of what was already stated.” the treader of grapes him that soweth seed”. This is another way of saying the same thing.
Many christians have not realized that this process works not only for the harvest of the world, but also for their every day needs in provisions.
Ministering the words of God can be done wherever you are, anytime, anywhere. (Josh 1:3 3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.)
My brethren, let’s win souls for the Kingdom of God and not be weary in well doing. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. (Prov 11:30)
